Representatives of the State Investment Company (SIC) held a meeting with Marina Masich, Director General of the Ukrainian Union of Lessors (UUL), discussing the ways for cooperation in promoting Ukrainian investment projects and helping them with leasing on favourable terms.

Marina Masich introduced some facts about the leasing market, emphasising the opportunities for growth in terms of leasing equipment in national currency, especially after some barriers for financial groups will be lifted and the market will become more flexible.

Andriy Lemish, Advisor to the Director General at SIC, talked about the possibilities for leasing in large infrastructural projects, as well as projects dedicated to substitution of Russian gas with low-price biofuel and introduction of several new technologies to Ukrainian alternative energy market. Taking the opportunity, Andriy briefly introduced several of them.

Nataliya Lisnyk, Advisor to the Director General at SIC, introduced some facts about current activities of the State Investment Company, including some regional projects in the portfolio and how the UUL can help with their promotion.

Alexander Ozeran, Head of Research & Analysis at SIC, introduced several innovative projects, emphasising on electric and alternative energy transportation technologies and appropriate infrastructural projects linked to them. He mentioned that with the help of innovative transportation technologies and financial help from UUL Ukraine has a solid chance to improve its energy balance and introduce green transport.

Marina Masich summarised the meeting with a roadmap for further cooperation between UUL and SIC.
